OVERVIEW:

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of our organization. Your role will include managing the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and implementing effective financial controls. You will play a key part in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities. This position requires a highly organized individual with a strong background in accounting and financial management.

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee and manage the monthly book closing process.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll.
• Handle billing processes and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data.
• Work with PeopleSoft and SAP for various accounting functions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a government contractor.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• This position may require occasional overtime during peak periods.
• Familiarity with government contracting regulations and compliance is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
